Stupid Groceries...

My eating was better today.  I didn't follow that meal plan exactly, but it was still good.

Had a Nutrigrain bar in the morning before class and a cup of coffee in the morning.  Had a hotdog and green beans for lunch.  Then for dinner I had salmon, seasoned with lemon juice and pepper, and some rice.

I went grocery shopping today for healthy foods.  Holy fuck.  It was more expensive than I thought! I got green beans, carrots, honey crisp apples, fat free carmel dip for the apples, bananas, fresh sliced lunch meat, reduced fat cheese, turkey bacon, some strawberry probiotic smoothie stuff, fat-free coffee cream, fat-free cottage cheese, sugar-free Jell-O cups, whole grain bread, and greek yogurt.

I will now be accepting donations for my healthy-eating grocery fund.  If you would like to donate let me know, ok? Haha. :)

...About That...

Today's meal plan didn't work out as planned.

My  breakfast consisted of a Nutrigrain bar and 2 cups of coffee, but the rest of my day was shot.

Slip-ups happen.  Let's try this again tomorrow.

Now if you'll excuse me I'm going to go snack on my green beans.

*2 snacks throughout the day
-Snack options: water, crystal light, cucumber, celery, 1 cup of yogurt, or a Nutrigrain bar

Sounds good to me!

Okay...maybe not...

I TRIED working out, I really did.  But I still have bronchitis-like symptoms...so I basically almost threw up from coughing so hard after working out.  Like last night Amy and I went for a walk around our neighborhood...it was probably about a mile-long walk, maybe a little less than that, and by the time we got home I was coughing like a mother f****r.

...
On a positive note, I made PERFECT green beans for dinner tonight.  Perfect green color, not mushy, not toooooo crunch.  They were deeeeelicious.

I decided I need to stop skipping breakfast altogether.  My usual excuse it that I don't have time to eat in the morning before class.  So I will make it my goal to at LEAST eat a granola bar, or even quickly scarf down a cup of yogurt before I leave in the A.M.

For the love...

No more excuses.  I don't give a flying fart how busy or how tired I am anymore.  (I am just getting over a week-long cold, though...)

TONIGHT I WILL do a workout DVD before I go to bed.

TOMORROW I WILL go to the gym after my last class for at LEAST 45 minutes.

I've already stocked up on fresh veggies for the week, so all I need is the workout stuff!

Pizza Hut runs my life...

Okay...Pizza Hut doesn't really run my life, but it has kept me EXTREMELY busy.  So busy in fact that I haven't even had time to work out.  For the past month I have been working between 32 and 40 hours per week, and by the time I get home at night I am WAY too tired to even move. Now that fall classes have started, my work schedule has gotten lighter, but classes have taken up the free time.  Luckily this week I have 2 short shifts on Tuesday and Thursday, and I have Wednesday and Friday-Sunday off. That leaves plenty of opportunities to work out AND study.

And I hear there is tons of new equipment in the rec center on campus. Party time!

Tuesday re-starts my workout schedule!
